The most basic definition of a Project 365 is committing to taking one photo, a day, for a year. I have wanted to do it for years, but it is a big undertaking. Let's face it doing anything once a day is a big commitment. But 2016 just felt like the year. After thinking about it for days, reading articles detailing the joys and sorrows of such a project, a few hours before midnight I made the comment.
My Mom and I were visiting my Grandpa when I noticed the fountain outside of his building had been frozen in motion. I convienced my Mom to help and she stood there patiently holding her phone in the air so I could use the flashlight from it to take this photo.
I decided to start this year long project hours before midnight on December 31st, 2015. And I only truly committed when, inspired by the unique face of my friend's cat I picked up my camera at 10:56pm on January 1st, 2016 and took my first photo of this project.
The winner for the day though was this small moment of stillness while my friend's, Sammy, got lost in the world of Harry Potter.
