The most basic definition of a Project 365 is committing to taking one photo, a day, for a year. I have wanted to do it for years, but it is a big undertaking. Let's face it doing anything once a day is a big commitment. But 2016 just felt like the year. After thinking about it for days, reading articles detailing the joys and sorrows of such a project, a few hours before midnight I made the comment.
However with it being a leap year I having loving name my project "Project 366"
After reading about a number of suggestions, hurtles, and ideas, I decided to make these general guidelines for myself.
Take at least one photo everyday in 2016.
It's ok if everyday is not a gem, but I should attempt to be thoughtful.
Allow myself forgiveness. If I miss a day it's ok, but I have to make it up.
I can use professional gear, non-professional gear, or my phone. But phone use should be limited, and should still be used with care.
Try not to use client session photos as my daily image. Though there could be some exceptions to this, like doing something extra at that session just for my picture of the day, or something that is sentimental to me about that session.
Enjoy this! I am doing this to challenge myself and gain growth and I should have fun in the process.
I wanted to have a number of months under my belt before I began to share this project, so now that I have 6 months completed I figured it was time to start sharing. I will be slowing release several weeks at a time. Stay tuned.
