I was so excited to be the Portland event photographer that Western Partitions Inc. choose to help capture the retirement party of a very special employee. Western Partitions Inc. is proud to be one of the largest and most reputable interior and exterior contracting firms in the United States.
They decided to host the retirement party in the ballroom of the Portland Embassy Suites by Hilton, at Washington Square. According to their website, they have an astounding number of options, with 13 different rooms, there is no way you couldn’t find one just perfect for your event. Top that off with catering, guest rooms and a caring, attentive staff, how could you go wrong?
Western Partitions Inc. (WPI) really wanted to do something special to celebrate Neil’s retirement. Neil is not only one of WPI’s longest-tenured employees, at 36 years with the company, but also one of their most respected. You could tell everyone in the room was going to miss his contributions to the construction industry.
The night was filled with friends, family, and an unforgettable magic act. The magician even talked Neil into getting on stage for one of the more dangerous tricks known as “The Bullet Catch”. Apparently, there is a book detailing all the magicians that have died trying to perform this illusion, but it was no match for Neil! He fired the gun perfectly and the magician caught it between his teeth!
Many people also took to the podium to express how much Niel’s service has meant to them personally, to their company and their industry. Including the Northwest Wall and Ceiling Bureau, who presented Neil with a plaque for his exceptional efforts throughout his career, embossed with “Thank you for your tireless efforts and decided service to the wall and ceiling industry”. Neil closed things out with his thoughts and his thanks.
