I was so thrilled to be the Portland engagement photographer for Stefani and Ray's stunning city view engagement session at Sellwood Park. With lush greenery, riverfront views, and a perfect peek at the Portland skyline, it was the ideal backdrop for a couple so full of love and laughter.

How They Met

I first connected with Stefani and Ray at a local wedding expo in Salem, Oregon, where they visited my booth. They entered my giveaway for a complimentary engagement session—and won! We instantly clicked, and together we chose Sellwood Park for its beautiful views and peaceful vibe.

To add a touch of vintage charm, we also stopped by the nearby Oaks Pioneer Church, a historic hidden gem in Portland that offers timeless architectural details and cozy romance.

A Love Story Worth Sharing

I asked Stefani to share a bit about their journey together—and their answers are just too sweet not to include.

How did you two meet? 

“Like many couples these days, we met on a dating app. I tell him he’s my favorite thing I’ve ever found on the internet.”

Favorite memory together? 

“One of my favorites is our first trip to Texas. Realizing that I had someone to go adventure with now was an amazing feeling.”

Who proposed and how? 

“Ray did! It was after a big, successful day at work for me. He sang to me, we both cried, and then we went out to dinner at one of our favorite spots.”

Stefani also shared that her beautiful natural sapphire engagement ring was designed by Ray himself through Kay Jewelers—a perfect personal touch!

What first drew you to your partner? 

“Not possible to pick just one! His kindness, his loyalty, and his drive to achieve his goals.”

What are you most excited for on your wedding day? 

“Committing ourselves to each other in front of our family and friends—and then having a really great party!”

And what about after the wedding?

 “Lots of adventures ahead.”
