As a Portland wedding photographer, I love attending wedding vendor networking events, because it's a great place to meet other wedding professionals, and frankly, they are normally a lot of fun. I believe, I first met Red Williams, owner and designer for Red's Creations, at a NW Wed Pro Event.
Since then, I have had the pleasure of getting to know Red at more networking meeting, weddings we have worked together, a branding portrait session for his business, and lastly through him joining my wedding vendor team for my all-inclusive elopement packages. I figured he would be the perfect person to give us some insights on the world of wedding flowers.
What do you love about being a wedding florist?
I love meeting with engaged couples and make their love stories come to life through my creations at their wedding.
How would you describe your floral design style?
Colorful English garden.
What is your personal favorite flower?
The Sunflower.
What is one piece of advice you would give to engaged couples when it comes to choosing a florist for their wedding day?
Work with a wedding florist that you have a connection with.
What would you recommend couples do with their flowers the day after the wedding or elopement?
You can share your flowers with loved ones as a token of appreciation. Sometimes there are people in this world that are lonely and flowers can bring a smile to their face. Everyone deserves to be loved.
Why do you love elopements?
Intimate moments, like a wedding, with just a few people, are magical and special.
