Church Wedding at Longview Community Church | Washington

Leah & Aaron

A Casual DIY Summer Wedding

This day in June was a hot one! I couldn't believe it as I saw the temperatures quickly raise well into the 90's! Maybe it was just all the love in the air.

I couldn't help but smile all day watching these two prepare to get married. Anyone could see these two are so obviously in love. I would catch them stealing glances at each other and sneaking kisses in-between photos, you could feel their excitement. That is a fun thing to be around.

The ceremony was a warm one but no heat was going to stop Leah and Aaron from celebrating their wedding day and have fun doing it. No one in attendance let the heat beat them as they watched the couple say I do at the beautiful Longview Community Church in Washington.

How can you not be in love with the Neo-Gothic design of this church? According to their website, Longview Community Church is the oldest church in Longview. It began as a interdenominational church lead by Reverend Ed Gebert, and remains an independent non-denominational church now. You can also find them listed on the national register of historical places.

As all of the guests began their drive to Castle Rock for the reception, the couple and wedding party headed across the street to the beautiful Lake Sacajawea Park for a few more photo ops. The way the light was coming across the water made a beautiful back drop for this fun wedding party! The bridesmaids and groomsman included close friends and family. I loved that this bridal party was down to be silly, serious, or whatever the wedding photographer had in mind. Just my kind of group!

When I asked Leah and Aaron if they would like to share a review about me being their longview wedding photographer this is what they had to say:

"Cambrae was so sweet and so fun to work with. She made "stand there and smile" fun and relaxing! She got to know us before the event date, which made the day of so easy, the day of went very smoothly! The pictures turned out so AMAZING! She has a knack for capturing "in the moment" moments that look so effortless and real. We loved working with her and highly recommend her services!"

We arrived at the wedding reception in Castle Rock, Washington and we excited to be greeted by a much cooler evening. The recpetion was held at a family memebers household. I love backyard weddings, it adds something a little extra when the place you hold your wedding has a family tie.

PS. The potato salad was amazing! And my friends know I take my potato salad seriously.

Venue: Longview Community Church then private residence.
