Ronnie & Lauren
Lace, Roses and a Little Touch of Western
I was so happy to be the Portland wedding photographer that Ronnie and Lauren choose for their outdoor fall forest wedding at Silver Falls Lodge & Conference Center.
Silver Falls State Park should be a stop for anyone visiting Oregon, as it is our largest state park. According to the Oregon State Parks website, the park is approximately 9,000 acres and sees 1.3 million day-use visitors annually. Plus, it contains a 177-foot waterfall (which you can walk behind), great hiking and horseback riding trails, and plenty of areas to host loved ones for an amazing wedding day.
Popular ceremony sites include Smith Creek Hall, McKenzie Meadow, and the historic Big Leaf Dining Hall built in 1930. The dining halls large stone fireplace and wood beams give it a real cozy cabin feel, while still having enough room for all of your guests.
Besides the beautiful surroundings, one other thing I really love about this venue is that all your guests can stay the night. They have large shared cabins as well as small ones. This insures everyone can have all the fun they want without having to worry about driving home. Plus, you can make a weekend out of it, you get more time with the people you love and they get a fun weekend away.
