Lavender Owl Farm
Wedding Venue Visit - Canby, OR
7425 OR-211, Canby, OR 97013
I love touring wedding and event venues throughout Oregon and Washington! It's a great way for me to get familiar with a wedding and event venue. And then I can share new, upcoming, intimate and unique venues with all of you! My recent adventures took me to Lavender Owl Farm in Canby, OR where I took a tour with the owner Lesley.
Month of Visit: April
Weather that day: Cloudy and Sunny
Some History
The 20-acre private property is a labor of love in the business of love! Owners, Lesley and Rob are always sowing seeds, tending plants, growing trees, and building things. Once a thriving tree farm, the trees have matured over the last twenty or so years to the beautiful specimens they now are. They no longer remove tress for sale, they just take care of them for everyone to enjoy.

It's amazing how much work and love Lesley, Rob and their children have put into this property. Their Daughters, Paula and Stefanie, are the creative forces behind many of the teepees, decor, gardens, and rustic wood signs. They painted all of the art work on the upper level of the shop and create cool natural art pieces around the property. Lesley actually built the amazing wood tables in the shop! And they are currently building a very cool outdoor bar next to the shop, pictured below. It should be open for events later this year! It always fun to see things in process.
Photo Highlights:
Where do I start! This venue has so many options, fields, trees, hidden hammocks, flowers, a view of Mt. Hood, vintage tractor, a stick tepee, and more! I could spend all day taking wedding photos on this property. I love all the little owls tucked around the property, how many can you find? But maybe one of the funnest things, is a giant robot statue.
Other Cool Features:
This venue also features it's very own disc golf course! Rob is an avid disc golf player and built the 9 basket disc golf course. Originally created to play with friends, "The Hoot" now has many great reviews from all types of visiting disc golf players.
You can also stay over night! When wedding guests aren't using the house it operates as a bed and breakfast, what a beautiful place to spend the night.
Open Houses:
In light of the pandemic they are currently only offering open houses for booked couples. But check their website, Facebook, or Instagram for updates, or reach out to schedule your own personal tour with Lesley!
