Outdoor Portland Headshot Photography Session
I was so excited to be the Portland headshot photographer that Rene choose for her outdoor headshot photography session in Portland, OR.
Rene and I first met, many years ago, when we were both attending Portland State University. I was already a member of the fraternity (yes, we are a fraternity, but commonly called a sorority these days) Alpha Chi Omega. Rene decided to plague with us and it didn't take long for us to become fast friends.
Rene came to me looking to update her headshot for an upcoming speaking engagement. When you have known each other as long as we have, it's a pretty cool thing to see your friends grow and change, not just as people but in their careers. Rene is so personable and outgoing, I bet her talk gave good inspiration to everyone who attended.
A speaking engagement is a great time to update your headshot. Other great reasons are a new job, job seeking, promotion, dating profile and lots of other reasons. But the biggest reason might be time, as you should update your headshot at least every two years. More often if you have changed up your look in any noticeable way.
It never hurts to get your headshot in both color and black and white. If you are submitting your headshot for a print publication or speaking engagement, they might be printing materials in black and white. Having an already converted black and white image makes sure that it will look perfect when printed.
