Turning One Among the Tulips
It was such a fun day being the Woodburn family photographer for Maria & Scott at their spring family photo session at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn, OR.
According to the Farm's website, the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival runs March through early May, and features hot air balloons, a photo contest, vintage John Deer tracker, gift shop and of course tulips. In fact, the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm has 40 acres of tulips!!! While the festival is seasonal, you can visit their wine room, gift shop, and Red Barn Hemp counter year round. They also host weddings, dinners, and corporate events.
What a beautiful day to go to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm! After weeks of rain we were blessed with this one beautiful sunny day and we took full advantage of it.
This family photography session was to capture little Peyton as she celebrates her first birthday and turns 1! With kids this small little things can change their mood quickly, but Peyton was such a trooper. She did such a great job as we took her around the tulip fields, taking photos, playing and putting her in the rows among the tulips.
Dad, Scott, was put to work dancing behind me and shaking my car keys to get Peyton to smile, though she loved it best when he threw her up in the air, I mean what kid doesn’t love some high flying fun.
Mom, Maria, was always close by for baby safety, and had some fun teaching Peyton how to drive a tracker..…a pretend one of course. We'll have to wait until she is just a little bit older to hand over the wheel for real.
I am a big believer in "community over competition" in the photography, creative and wedding communities. When we lift each other up, we all win.
