I love touring wedding venues throughout Oregon and Washington! It's a great opportunity for me to get to know the venue before a wedding. And I can share new, upcoming, intimate and unique venues with all of you! My recent explorations took me to The Barn at Countryside in Aurora, OR where I took a tour with their owner, Dustin.

Some History

The property used to be a historical stage coach stop in the 1800's. It had a hotel and a brothel. The traditional red barn on the property is original and built in the 1870's. The current owner, Dustin, bought the farm around 7 years ago with plans to farm and board horses. In 2019 he decided to try for something new, and opened a newly remodeled existing barn on the property for events and weddings. Including scenic outdoor spaces for ceremonies, cocktails and mingling. Complete with a view of Mt. Hood.

Photo Highlights:

The property offers scenic views from every angle of the venue. The eastern side with a magnificent view of fertile farmland along with Mt. Hood, the western view which includes spectacular sunsets, the southern view of the venue with the farms hazelnut trees, and the north side offers a great backdrop of the beautiful wood siding of the modern barn venue.

Other Cool Features:

The interior of their modern country barn is really warm, there is lots of wood and the lighting is geometric and cool. The bridal suite is very traditional, since it's located upstairs it provides lots of privacy. With 2 beautiful chandeliers, and multiple mirrors with make-up lighting, this suite has it all! The barn also has 4 large roll up doors, so your guest really get to enjoy the scenery, even during dinner.
